How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

what an excellent assortment of colors. and they look very healthy

mine don't look so healthy. it's so muddy around here that they get there muddy feet all over the eggs and you can't tell what color they are until we clean them. you can always tell which one was most recently laid by how dirty they are.

I lied. 25! A cuckoo Marans laid super late today. We don't wash our eggs. I'm crazy about laying down straw in the run when it's wet and I clean nest boxes weekly to make sure eggs are clean. Very rarely do I have to clean them. My girls know how crazy lady likes it. Lol Totally OCD....

i only wash our eggs if they're really dirty. i do put straw down, but somehow they manage to get them dirty

Winter with chickens really isn't fun...then again all of us were worried about keeping our flocks cool just a few months ago...so the peek of summer isn't fun either. Can't it just be spring and fall forever!?! Lol
