If you have an e bay account you can look up fake nesting egg's and order a couple of fake ceramic nesting egg's they suppressed me by being so well made and look and feel so real but being made of clay they are also very hard and just hurt the beak during the pecking stage of checking out the egg and put a stop to who ever my egg eater was ......
The price of the egg's is about 2 to 3 dollars but really worth it and I ordered half a dozen and the crows took some as I found them dropping them from high up and some of them broke and that is how I found out they were some of my problem but I also knew I had some of my own chickens eating them but I watched them and found out who was the egg eater ........
sounds like you have a predator. We marked one of our first ever eggs, and put it back in the coop.We thought it would show them where to lay. However, today, that egg is gone, and no others were layed. We searched the whole coop. Did they eat it? If so, is that bad?
