How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Three so far. Yesterdays green whopper was a double yolker, so she probably wont lay today after starting her career as an eggmaker with such an effort.

Just got a report from DS - "we got seven eggs so far - still waiting on Amy's egg - that should make eight for the day!" -- if we do see eight (he isn't quite as adept at picking out who's egg is who's as I am) that will be a new record for us - plus we did not see the rogue "egg on the floor" yet today so either the phantom layer (the ONLY active layer we have not yet been able to ID) has figured out what the nest boxes are for or we might even see nine! -- this is from 15 pullets

That would scare anyone, starting with such a large double yolker.

My first EE egg was a siamese yolk, they were connected, but definitely two, I made an omlette with pullet and silkie eggs this morning, yum yum

7/23 yesterday and when I got home last night (2am) there was 2 eggs on the floor under the roosting bar. One was a really soft shell and smashed on landing it looks like and one right next to it whole as can be.

2 eggs ---- 9 hens: 4 RSL, 19 wks, 2 laying; the other 5 are not quite ready (they will be 18 wks on Aug. 24).

I wish the other two RSL hens would get with it!

So far only 5 today (had 6 yesterday) and one egg is jumbo, which shocked me very much to see that big of an egg.

4/15. it looks like my chickens are exploding. Feathers everywhere, so I'm guessing they're molting rather than laying.

My almost 18 week old RSLs were 3 for 5 today. First time I had a 3 banger and Canella has layed 4 days straight.
