Blooie your girls need to have a talk with my girls. I've had 3 layers since Thursday and have only had 2 days of 3 eggs, the rest were 1 egg days! And my 4th girl is holding out on us, she's squatting, singing, and she's got a big red comb and wattles but no egg yet!

Um, were you around this thread when I posted, for weeks it seemed, 0/19? Then it was 1/19...for days. They're usually pretty sporadic in the beginning. Now I'll have a day with all 10 laying, then down to 8 or 9 for a few days while one or two of them take a day off. I know that it happens, but I really think a chicken laying an egg every single day isn't that common. They usually take a day off now and again, and when you have multiple hens days off can coincide between a couple of them. But if it makes you feel any better, I'll send Mathilda over to your place to have a little chat. She has the scariest (and to me most adorable) face of the bunch - she kinda looks like an old Cossak with her scowl and her heavy black beard!!

No I don't think I was around for that. I know they will take days off and I expected it but I guess I just assumed if I had 3 layers id mostly get 2 a day. Oh well ill take what I can get. I love them whether they give me an egg or not.
