How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I read on here a couple of days ago to spin them on the counter. If they spin fast and evenly, they're ok. If they just sorta wobble slowly, then they've been frozen. With the two eggs I suspected were frozen the other day, I tried it. Got an egg from before we went sub-zero out of the fridge and spun it. It was like the Energizer Bunny - it kept going and going....took one of the suspect ones and spun it....it just wobbled and tried sluggishly to spin, but just couldn't quite do it. Then I opened it. Yup, frozen.

Another thing you can do (and this works to distinguish between a boiled and raw egg too), is to spin the egg, and then quickly stop the spin by placing you hand on it for just a fraction of a second. If the inside is liquid, it will continue to spin slightly afterwards because the insides are still spinning and they make the whole egg move again.

good to know since i just grabbed a late frozen one just now.
