How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

4 total, including one tiny silkie egg. It was the first silkie egg we have seen and it was so little and cute compared to the other eggs.

Hey gang, egg total today 16/23, a decrease, suppose to snow overnight, expected 4-8 I ches between now and tomorrow eve. Worked on trapping run and getting more straw down, this brought the gang outside today, during some nice warmer sunny times. Gang see,s happy with straw and ability to be on run as well as coop.

The power has been out all week so no lights or anything special for the chickens. Still been getting 7 eggs per day from 12 hens (not counting the ones that are molting). Not too bad.

I have 6 Golden Comets and 4 White Leghorns who are 25-weeks. Averaging 9-eggs per day. Past two days have been 10/10!!! Love these gals--especially the Golden Comets.
We are supplementing with light--comes on at 6am and off at 9pm. I like it because I'm much happier closing up or opening up a lighted coop!!

I got 11 today. I've even been turning the lights off to try to make them slow down. It isn't working. LOL I also have another broody.

16/23 a slow down, expect more tomorrow as they got s bunch of greens and veggies yesterday and today. They are happy with run being tarped and covered as we are continuing to get snow at a steady stream in Colorado.
