6 today and 8 the day before. This is out of about 50 hens and pullets. It's just the shorter days and all the bad weather we had a few days ago with high winds and thunder storms. Any time we get bad weather the hens slack a few days later.

Newbie here and yes I'm using a 250 w red heat lamp for 5 hrs at night via timer and I do believe it helps. I only have 2 hens in the Midwest with no snow or cold(below 20) and I get 2 eggs 6 days a week. I'm getting 4 more hens in spring.
