0/6 but the weather was so nasty here today. If I was a chicken, I wouldn't have laid any eggs either! It was enough to try and stay warm and dry.

Saw temps in the early 20s today, it felt so good. The ladies weren't having it though. Just 9/23 from them, lost a hen to our frigid temps this week. Almost lost more from a hawk attack this afternoon. All the creatures are getting hungry with the frigid temps & snow cover.

Finally! Merriweather, our ameraucana, laid her first egg! Now it's just the orp holding out.

3/4 Today! In the past few weeks egg production went from 6 where it had been for months, to 12, to 17 this week. Had to buy at the low end!

6/8 today! I've had many 6 egg days in the last couple of weeks.

At least 7 are laying... Maybe all 8, but not everyone, everyday. Looking forward to the first full set of 8.

Installed a CoopCam to get a better idea of who is laying when. Had it hooked up just in time to find Minty one of two Black Austrolorps lay an end of the day egg... She tried but couldn't settle into the nest while I was working.

Our smallest hen, a white Easter Egger/Ameraucana, has been laying pink/mauve eggs that are bigger than all the rest at 72 grams. I'm amazed!
