12 eggs today, all but 1 hen laid an egg in the EE coop (7/8) and 5/8 from the mostly older girls.

I wish my ducks would start back up after the winter break. They started eating oyster shell again and eating a lot more, but still no eggs.....that I can find.....

GOOD GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!

I see a pretty blue Cream Legbar egg right at the top!!!

It's a lovely, colorful Easter basket!

4 Brown (All from Red Stars)
2 White (White Leghorns always cranking out the eggs)
1 Blue (My pretty 6 month old Cream legbar pullet)
1 tiny Lulu Banty egg


Today is the first day we ate more eggs than the hens produced....which is OK...because we still have a surplus! This means maybe, just maybe I won't have to many eggs in the fridge!!!

Since downsizing my flock, I can finally, with confidence, know who laid which eggs. This is awesome!!!

my Ducks didn't even take a break! They laid all winter long giving me 1-3 eggs a day. My chickens on the other hand...lol and we even has -30 -20 weather!

my be the breeds? the hens I have are : 1 mallard and 2 Khaki Campbell. I hope to convince hubby we NEED more ducks
