About 8 weeks if you have artificial light on them. Once they start they will lay an every day. I just got mine from PC a while back and one started laying about a week ago. Yesterday I got two eggs, so I'm hoping that another one has started laying. I have them in the Brower brooder which has red lights in it and they get some light from the garage light that shines in where the screen is on front but I had no idea that was enough to trigger egg laying. I wonder if I add a light directly on the brooder if it will cause all three of them to lay. Hmmmmmmmm.............

hmmm ,, i already have my quail outside lol,, they need a bigger hutch,, if i dont eat em first
