I added lighting as well. I think it's helping Lights come on at 5am. 7/7 Wed 5/7 yesterday 3 old enough to lay not started yet. 103 here today.11 eggs for today![]()

It seems the longer light hours and the extra scrambled eggs are making a difference for the control group![]()

It takes a little time for the lights to work about a week or so but it is worth it if you are trying to get the eggs as for me I am trying to get the eggs for the incubator now that it is cooling off to the low 100's as you can understand incubating when it is 118 F takes some work cooling the room off to 80 F so the incubator can do all the heating but the funny part is a momma hen I had last year had no problem hatching anytime of year hot or cold .....
