8 today, but I know 1 was actually from yesterday because there were 2 black penedesenca eggs in the coop with only 1 hen. She keeps laying them in the box that is supper hard to reach, so I didn't see it the other day.

I have 9 girls who are just coming to the laying age. I am averaging 5 eggs a day since the 18th of Nov.
Yesterday 5 today 5. Best day was 6. Very pleased of my girls!!
My wife's mother and her father, my parents all got a dozen eggs and my friend who gives me straw bales free got his too!
Been a very inner satisfying feeling to be able to give.

I think the colder weather got the girls a bit down as it got down to freezing cold Monday morning and the egg count has been a bit low ever sense ....


Temp day time weather still in the high 60's by 9:30 this morning so it is warming up a lot after the sun comes up ....
