I feel for you I'm only getting a third of what I was getting a month ago. But I am happy to get 6 out of 15 today. Better than nothing

1 egg from the free range chickens

1 more chick this morning and only 1 egg left for December to hatch

Todays temp was a brisk 61F degrees with clouds and heave winds showing up in the evening

First egg for weeks on Saturday night. A lovely blue Araucana egg that the other half had for Sunday tea! I have hens growing new feathers, hens resting and a pullet who isn't old enough to lay. 11 in total. We just don't eat eggs when they are not laying and the dark damp weather is putting them off too. The 2 cockerels are bored as none of the girls are interested in their advances!

Still only 1-2 a day between my 2 layers. But we got a total of 11 this week that seems to be the highest weekly average for these 2 girls. Still waiting on 2 to start

The idea of taking the solor yard lighg to the coop when you close ghe dlor adds good light to keep production up....they fade down to allow natural sleep.
