Temp 65F degrees and just a nice day to be working out in the yard and I do believe all them cold days are over with as I saw little flowers growing on the brush out in the desert and this same brush will turn into tumble weeds this spring funny how nature works ....

I had the two little coops to start and I don't want to go into hatching or raising the 14 are good, the dome I use as a coop the other as my barn are 17 feet diameter just big enough. Should I only have 8 to 12 eggs a day that is more than enough.

Curious as to why you can't build another coop for 4 years?

I started a Toolmaker Apprenticeship in October that takes 4 yrs of training and college courses.Classes now are 3x's a week after work, one until 8 p.m. That is one long day. Until this is over no new coop, I have 2 now .

I have 8 hens and one oster, they are almost a year old. During the winter I have been getting 3 eggs a day and lately maybe 4. Well today when I went out to let them out there was nothing. This is the first time I haven't had any eggs. What's up with that?

Winter time they don't lay as much. Give them some time yet today. Sunlight plays a huge factor in laying, less sun less eggs. Think of winter as a time for them to take a break and their little bodies get to rebuild all the nutrients they lost earlier in the year producing eggs. It will be worse after molt, FYI.
