35/41 and 12/18 today. Last night another black zartech died. Cocci again. Temp is getting hot this days. 29C-32C degree.

Just depends. As long as they grow up in a clean safe warm environment and have solid genetics you might not loose any of them. Bad genetics could mean you loose a few, stress and disease can be factors that make it difficult, but chicks are pretty "hardy" if they get a good start.

I second this. I bought my first 10 from a local feed store 2 years ago and all 10 survived because I found this group. Granted I never thought I would be wiping a

bottom to clear vents but they all lived until last year when a beastie got 2 hens and then my rooster got mean last fall. All of my current birds are from that first group. Going to cull all roosters and add fresh blood this year.

What are you treating with? We had good luck with corid. We also good luck with using raw egg yolks(just yolks, 1 or two per bird) mixed with a couple drops of corid, and some electrolyte powder then syringe fed to the affected bird(s). It will get sticky and hard to clean so make sure to clean them up after you feed them it. Be careful not to do too much at a time and let them breathe in between. Wipe the yolk off their beaks before putting them in with other infected birds because they may peck at and try to "help" the other one clean its beak.

I don't think they're hard to raise. So some research on your part would be a great idea. If you keep them warm, put marbles in their water for the first week or two, make sure they don't get coccidiosis and raise them the way you want to.

As long as you take precautions so they don't get wet and cold or drown in their waterer when they're still weak and agreeing with DuckChick they're pretty easy to raise.
