I am a bit puzzled there are a few feathers in two nests my every day layers I am at 3/5 for 2 days
they are just going on a year, do you think they are starting into molt?

My girls have been laying an egg a day most days of the week for the past month and a half, 4 hens. I'm getting 2 buff orpingtons and 2 easter Eggers. Had to wait for Easter eggers but got 6 buffs and will rehome 4 if they all make it, you never know!

18 eggs today, still got 2 soft shell eggs. I did toss a little bit of oyster shell in with the feed plus left the bowl with oyster shell sitting out. We will see if any of that helps. Are there any other causes of soft shell eggs?
