I think she was telling you the truth, of what she can remember

(9 months old 2 years ago). I always like raising my own, am on my 3rd batch this spring, so far the 1st and 2nd are all delivering productions.

Aye, I sure hope she was. I hope they start laying soon. Its only been just over a week but the other two are laying and they all seem fairly comfortable in their new home. I suppose I keep playing the waiting game!

Well, decided to go to fam wedding out of state past weekend. First time to let chicks stay home alone as they are 9mo. Old. Anyone know how old in chicken years?
They did fine. Had 14 eggs when we I returned. None broken. Ten in one nest four in another. They never use all four boxes. Why? Maybe peer pressure?
Just 9 hens but not everyone has layed aat same day yet.

I have 2 Rhode island whites that started laying about a week ago
and waiting on the 2 Jersey giants that will still be a while

2 Rhode island reds and 2 Gold sexlinks that are only like 2 months old
but my 2 whites are laying now and one just layed the HUGE EGG!!

10/13!Woohoo!!!1/4,think I threw them off by introducing new pullets or big splash is at it again.

7/13 today. I think they must be a bit upset with me introducing a roo and a couple of new girls.

I just pulled all the pullets but the three youngest into the main coop

4/5 with 16 pullets hiding at the moment but the girls just kinda looked at them and went
back about there thing I will be keeping a pretty close eye on them

13/15 some eggs muddy, the snow Sunday then rain today made the uncovered run muddy so does the covered one, tracking it to the coop.
