How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I have 321 layers, I only get 120 eggs per day. The pullets have been laying for two months now.What can i do?

glad you found us.. You say 120 a day from 321 that could lay right?
How big is the coop? are they all in one coop?

They are not all in coop. But something tragedy always happen in the morning. Whenever, I go to check them in the morning I must see a layer dead, But they are well secured and always look heathy before the night comes. Please advice me on what to do.

Are they free range birds? some are dying but the poop is normal?
stress can be very difficult for layers

I do give them food twice i.e morning and evening, Would that be the course?.

pretty good as long as all get some you should be able to see to that
stress does add allot to birds not laying.. may I ask what breed of
chickens do you have?

The control group is down to 6 ladys and the free range is up to twelve ladys who spend most of the days under the different sheds and under the heavily stickered stage brush for their safety form the suns heat and predators so to get a good egg count id difficult .

I will need some time to see if I can get a roo visually adequate for breeding so I am out for the summer at best .

I was just telling hubby how the chickens were slacking today !!!  I usally get 15-25 eggs per day and only got 6 today    /img/smilies/ep.gif

Friday and Saturday count 18 from Fester's coop, 5 from Stumpys coop 5 hens 4 pullets in there. 3 from 3 quail. None from 3 month old black mottled pullets. Then 4 Jersey Giant chicks hatched!
