14/18 - rainy/misty Thanksgiving Day!

We got 7 today, but my excitement came when my second Crested Cream Legbar laid her first egg. Now, 2/3 Crested Cream Legbars are laying. I can't wait for my Cukoo Marans, Wellsummer, and Australorp start laying. I expected them to all lay before the Cream Legbars since they're slightly older and generally lay sooner (from what I've read). I also have 2 Easter Eggers who are about the same age, but I think they'll take a little longer. All in all, it was a good egg day.

We got the funkiest egg this morning.. regular egg shape and even same color of other girls but the size of an oval dime! What was this?
Got 8 eggs today. Been short amt so harder to guess how many a day:/

39 chicken eggs and 3 turkey eggs yesterday. Today way down to 19 chicken and up to 4 turkeys. This constant "severe" rain is making for a bunch of very wet, very muddy, very unhappy chickens! I can't wait for spring!

I HATE this weather!!! Our girls are lost with this short daylight. Yesterday was 9.
