How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

2/6+8 but we moved the chicken coop yesterday and that probably stressed them a bit. But the coop is back where it belongs and they won't have to move again. Stupid re-grading of the lawn........

3/3 my girls didn't leave the coop yesterday, and they have no water in the coop. I suspect the water system had burst tonight since it is FOUR DEGREES right now. I've got a bucket with nipples ready to be hung and a heater dipped in it, so no worries I'd the water froze.

It got all the way down to 24 here yesterday but the girls still provided 24 eggs. All the top of the water froze but I was able to chop up the ice. I don't see how you people live like this! I'm freezing but the birds seem perfectly content. It ain't suppose to get this cold down here. Oh well, 72 degrees is forecast for Tuesday!

Temps were rather chilly as it rained today just enough to make a person turn on the windshield wipers and yep the roads still flooded as the rock and sand did not know what to do with all the water so it goes to the low points and sits there . Anyway the ducks and geese had a great time today running around making noise and the chickens had to be herded to shelter as they don't have the scents to get in out of the weather and would frees at night if wet .
