Thanks, Spartan22. I've been real busy with my parents. We got them moved into assisted living, but now my Dad's health has taken a turn for the worst. Plus, I am spending lots of days at their house packing it up & getting it ready to move stuff into storage. They have it listed but it really isn't in "cleaned out enough" shape to be shown yet. We have movers coming on the 27th and then a lady who does "estate cleanouts" is coming in early Feb. They need to have someone come in to do some taping & painting and then it will be set to go. I'm the only child living in this state, so a lot of this falls to me to do. My brothers came up for while at the beginning of Jan & at least 1 of the 2 will come back when the movers come. My sister-in-law is hoping to come up to help when the estate cleanout lady comes in. She wants to schedule a cleanup crew to come "super clean" the house so it will look it's best.

My husband is "chicken sitting" for me, but he doesn't like to do it. But at least none of them have died this time!

Thanks again for the concern. I really appreciate it.

@penny1960
 I've picked up Easter Eggers, Black Australorps, French Black Copper Marans, Welsumers, freebie - 1 Buff Orpington.  Though I November pre-ordered  3 Salmon Faverolle non hatched but I don't want to reschedule pick up,  I might pick up some from a local breeder sometime soon.
that's a nice combination for your flock. Do you tend to add several each year or how do you that?
My thoughts were every other year as after 2nd year they start slowing down then by time new chicks lay, the others won't. Is this how folks really do it or just how I read? We added 7 in November but 4 were 3 months younger (2 have just started laying). Our max we've had so far is 15 of the 26 total girls
