It was a slow day, only 4 of 13... I had been doing between 9 to 11, 11 being the best day.

Hahaha... I always look at those and wonder long and hard whether or not I want to put in the energy to clean it or just give it to the dog. My dog has the shiniest and softest coat due to all the raw eggs she eats. : )

I got 17 out of 20 today. Never had so many lay. I did change feed this week from local feed mill mash to purina 18% crumbles. Think that was the difference?

Could be coincidence, my hens are eating more lately, days getting longer and couple of my winter breakers are starting to lay eggs again. Though purina has probably have more nutrients than local mash? Could be both

If they're on the floor on have any amount of poop...they get cracked right there and are given back to the hens...lol.
And once in a while...the dog.

Finally got to come home again for a couple of days before I have to be back out at my parents house to meet the movers.
6 eggs today with evidence that 2 or 3 more were broken & consumed in the nest boxes. Hubby let all of the girls out to free range, but 1 is missing at lock up. Probably hawk food.
