How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

@Wickedchicken6 No Broody hens allowed in my coop.
80 kilometer wind gusts today. Chickens are flying without flapping their wings. Actually they are hiding from the winds.
My Pez dispensers are popping them out.

Lol...I hear you on that! They're starting a little earlier than I was expecting. The back of the coop was sectioned off to keep the roosters separate and now it's being used as a grow out pen for the fall hatches. I've got a number of large, young cockerels who, hopefully, will be moved out in the next couple of days. That should open things up so I can dedicate that space to the broody pullets/hens.

Please keep in mind I've got 72ish hens/pullets in my coop with 13 guineas and 28ish young ones (11ish pullets) in the back area.
My coop is pretty full...lol.

Well, sort of. After 7 "eggless" weeks (coop without artificial light or heat) I found today 2 small, slender pinkish eggs. Hadn't checked for a few days, they seem to be from the same hen, don't know which one. Could be Goldie or Cream Puff. Hoping for more...

2 for me(3 hens and 4 pullets should start laying any day, 2 pullets) I got a speckled egg which is new for us. I'm thinking one of my younger girls might have started laying.... possibly the splash Orpington.

8/11. First day the girls were not free ranged...they are not happy campers at all! One of the EE spent the entire day walking the fence line trying to find a way out. I know they have lots of room and i even transplanted the tall ornamental grasses they love into their run i still feel bad i have to do this

I expect the egg count to be low for some time.
