How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

No i didn't weigh them. They were 11 weeks old and the males barely fit in a gallon freezer bag.My wife said if they were any bigger no way they would fit.
I still have one cockerel and two pullets.Im thinking about keeping them for eggs to incubate?

We kept 1 hen from the previous batch of cornish cross meat chickens. She is laying eggs, but I haven't tried to hatch any. Since they are crosses they won't breed true. I have a cornish cross rooster from this batch that I briefly thought about keeping for breeding purposes but decided not to. Haven't butchered him yet though. However, since they don't breed true, I don't see any reasons to keep him for breeding purposes. Not sure what would hatch out from the CX hen & our RIR rooster.

I think I got around 24 eggs from the last 2 days.

I had red broilers from Cackle .Kind of like red rangers I think.
I don't think there a cross breed. They were ready to butcher at 9 to 10 weeks.
I will see if I can grow some out of the ones I have.
20 eggs and Crazy chicken is still brooding poor thing. Going on 3 months now.

seems to be a lower number for you also molting time here too down to 11

My hens have been kind of weird lately. I got seven eggs one day, three the next, four yesterday, and I'm waiting to see what i get today. i have ten hens laying right now, and four to lay any day now.

3/5 today. I looked out the window this afternoon, just in time to see a free for all, start for an egg laid in the pen. I don't know if it broke when laid, or was a soft shell. But I hope it's one of the two. I'm guessing it was Blondie.
