4/5 today. It's been record breaking hot again. I wouldn't mind if they took a break, poor babies.

Another HUGE egg today 100 grams/3.55 oz. One gram less than yesterday, and I know who laid it.
Last night just before 9 p.m. I went to lockup the coop , and I only saw 4 of my girls. I looked in the nest boxes, they were empty. So I looked under the raised coop and there was Raggedy Ann, sitting on the ground. I spoke to her and she moved slightly.
Now it's been warm and humid lately, staying around 60 Fahrenheit or higher overnight.
She seemed to be Ok, so I said do you want to sleep on the cool ground. None of my girls ever slept under the coop before, but it is secure with hardware cloth. So I left her there and locked up the coop, but left the ramp lowered in case she wanted to go into coop.
This morning I went out at 5 a.m. and she was Ok, pacing back and forth under coop, waiting for me to open the door.
Near where she was sitting last night was a huge egg, like I got yesterday, the end broken, but membrane intact, and I bet its a double yolk.

19 /25 i don't know if I should be counting my broody's Both of my Leg horns are hard at it.I keep trying to break them but they are stubborn.Friday is day 21 for the eggs in my bator I might slip them a few to make them happy.

5 out of 10, but one is recent addition and not laying yet, and the rest are only 4.5 months old so surprised we are getting as many as we are.
