My girls are in a slow molt, so egg laying has slowed. I also noticed today some House Sparrows have started to molt.

Hmm I have noticed some thin feathers on my older hens maybe this is whats wrong with mine!

Only two, everyone is molting except the cockrel it's raining as well so I knew the three outta three wasn't going to last. Marlene laid in the new nest box again, I swear that chicken is messing with me!

Out of 8 pullets, today is the first day that we got more than one egg. Today we got TWO lol. 4 of the pullets are 21 weeks old. The 2 golden comets are both laying now and hopefully soon (as in past time) the other 2 (both leghorns) will start laying. The last 2 pullets are now 17 weeks old, but they are an orpington and a cochin so still a few weeks to go on those two.

5/6 today, gave eggs to the neighbors and it was a big hit

Temps stayed in the 60s Fahrenheit today. Two of my girls chilling out. . Blondie on the left, she's at the top of the pecking order and Lovey, bottom of pecking order. They are best of friends.

The 2 year olds were 6 for 6 today. Our 14 younger pullets and cockerel are 21 weeks old now and some are starting to squat for the roo. He bred one today that we saw, so the first eggs can't be far off.
