2 eggs from 4 hens. Best part is this is the first day of getting eggs and we got 2!

Finally all my older girls are laying. Savannah laid her first egg three days ago. For the past six days (including today), I got 11, 8, 11, 13, 12, and 12. For sure Laurel, Begonia, and Scarlett are on streak right now, laying an egg every single day. Oh, and the big egg from Camillia was a double yolk

All of my "normal sized" eggs are double yolkers, and they are usually larger than normal. My girls are just 5 1/2 months old.

double yokers are great usually see them in new birds to lay or after they have had a good molt I may get larger than average but rarely double anymore

slow day here 17 but my red broiler pullet was acting like she wanted in a nest. maybe ill have some eggs to hatch from her soon

I'm jealous! My girls have not given me any eggs yet. They will be 18 weeks tomorrow. I'm hoping my leghorn will give me one by the end of the week.

I saw my grade school principal today and gave him a dozen eggs. He owns over 200 acres in East Texas, but I don't think he has ever had chickens. He didn't know that eggs could be green. He knows now. I think maybe I'm now his favorite former student. I'm 50, by the way. My principal is over 80.

Our flock of two-year-olds were 4/6. But the big news was the first egg from our

mixed flock of 21 week old pullets. A little Blue Ameraucana was the first to lay.
She gave us a little blue egg!

Ummm... I got two eggs from ten chickens. LOL. But one has been ill and is not laying and only one of this year's chicks (pullets) has started laying at 19 weeks.
