double yokers are great usually see them in new birds to lay or after they have had a good molt I may get larger than average but rarely double anymore

I love them double yolks.
Heat and humidity are back.

I got 14/14 eggs today I just found out today that one of the people I have sold eggs to (way too many to keep myself) got three eggs with double yolks. I guess they were all brown ones too. I was curious why I never see store bought eggs with double yolks, and according to what I found, they candle the eggs and don't use the double yolk eggs.

guess I never looked into a store with double yokers .... have 9 so far hope to have more before dark tonight... locked girls at 8:50 no additional eggs

Two more of our 21 week old pullets laid their first egg today. 2 pink tinted beauties from the Light Sussex. The older hens were 4/6.

Jenny Penny, the one my FIL had claimed as his own, layed her first egg.... even better for the fact that Monday's are when FIL comes for dinner so he got to gather the eggs tonight *and* I sent the egg home with him for tomorrow's breakfast. He was like an excited little kid carrying it out the door just now

2/5 I also got my first double yolker in the last few days. And it was one of the smaller ones too. Still made yummy Caesar salad.
