chicks I bought yesterday 3 Marans died first night here

not a clue but at like three days I was not to broken up, we do have a breeder about 40 miles out as the only thing I am missing nice chocolate layer like Marans

Yeah I quite like the marans. They have such a nice temperant. The one of mine that layed that egg follows me everywhere in the run she's always by my leg! If I don't pet her she gives me a little peck! Proper attention seeker! Unfortunately my other maran hasn't been laying in some time she is older but I noticed some lumps and hardness around her vent earlier. I'm discussing on another forum at the moment. I hope she will be OK. Again another really nice calm girl. She's never caused a problem.

Found egg under roosts at 5am, cold as ice, but not cracked.
4 more at 9am.
