You need to train that boy to know that YOU are the alpha chicken and HE better stay away. Same with ALL human members living there. He is only top of the flock of chickens.

I know right? He’s a beautiful Black Copper Marans, only one in my flock that has a name, just turned a year old this week and I was debating of keeping him, then time got out of hand between my kids school, wife’s car accident, 50 hour work and traveling and besides he was pricey for a chick when I got him (paid $22).

Few weeks ago I started collecting eggs from his group of 10, just for fun co-hatched w/ a friend and all his hens eggs that I set hatched. What a stud, all his 10 hens are being fertilized. At the same time he’s more jealous of my looks probably, reason he attacked me, thinking he’s harem will be broken up and half of his girls are attracted to me lol. What to do? His expensive line of Marans and his sister along with other royalty hens are being fertilized, matter of fact just sold some of the hatched @15 dollars a piece, and some hatching eggs for $5 a piece for pure line and $3 per olive eggers. No intention of selling but stumble into it. To keep or not to keep, that is the question.

I've never seen you and I don't mean to be rude, but I bet he is a lot prettier than you are! Especially to the girls. Of course he only has a little chicken pea brain, who knows what goes on in there.

What to do? Train him. Get a long stick, like 5 or 6' long. It is not to beat him with but to move him around. Don't wait for him to go after you, go after him. If he wants to go somewhere, direct him somewhere else. Make him look over HIS shoulder. Move him away from food, he eats when you let him. If he comes at you, move him away with the stick before he even gets in range of it. If he looks at you sideways, move him away with the stick. If he looks at you sideways at a distance, got toward him with the stick.

Wife's car accident doesn't sound good, I hope she is OK.
