How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

5/17 again today. I’ll check again before bed just in case someone drops another one. Had my biggest so far. Most of my eggs are upper 30 low 40 grams. I have one WL that hangs out in the low 50 grams. But today I got a 59 gram brown one. It’s huge! Also - another soft shell under the roost bars. Don’t know which girl though...

Yeah that makes no sense! I tend to ramble a lot... But I would love to hatch some chicks from my chickens, not put my 3 week old chicks under them. The new coop is where I want to move the broody hens and the broody hens are currently with the others going to sleep. They are in the nesting boxes sitting on fake eggs right now. I was thinking of going in the coop and picking up the broody hens and placing them on top of the real eggs in the new coop tonight. Will they accept them and relax?

please have the oyster out some need it others don't they will know go the feed store ask for the 40 lb about 7.99 leave a tipped bucket they can can all get from it

I know - I bought my Silkies to build my flock under a proper mummy bird not starting thier lives in a hard plastic box . We are only on day 4 (although she has been sitting 10 days) and I'm a nervous wreck but she seems to totally have it under control bless her!

All good - I'm happy to let them go broody and either add to my flock or sell the extras. Our whole family are very excited about them!

No me neither but I can get my hands on eggs for €1-2 a peice (or free) so not a problem!

See I complained and got my first egg today
Darker than I expected so I am assuming it's one of the white rocks- the other 3 breeds should have lighter eggs from what I remember and saw here https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...ind-out-what-egg-color-your-breed-lays.48143/

That is a dark egg? Maybe the picture doesn't do it justice, I know I have real trouble getting pictures of eggs that match the color I'm seeing. My White Rocks lay darker than that.
