How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

How do you all record your eggs / hens (I was going to have an individual list but now I have 3 chickens laying almost identical eggs :he:he)?
The key term is "almost identical" ;) Yes I have a spreadsheet. One tab per batch by the year they arrived. Thus there were 12 chicken columns in 2012. SO FAR I have been able to tell the eggs apart by color, shape, "markings" and size. And it is one reason I have several different breeds!

For example:
  • Of the Easter Eggers, one lays blue, one kind of olive green so those are easy. The other 2 lay about the same shade of green but SO FAR Persephone (2012) has been laying larger - high 60s to low 70s. BUT Cassie is kind of catching up so who knows.
  • The white rocks - Angel lays in the upper 50s, low 60s, her egg is shiny and has faint grooves. Yuki lays in the mid to upper 60's, her egg isn't as shiny and you really have to look at it to decide which end it the pointy one. It has basically no taper at all.
Of course you have to catch a girl laying in the nest to know which egg she is laying.

Well, I know one of the the white rocks laid the egg I got today and it looks same size, shape and color as one I got two days ago. So, think I have those ID confirmed now. The giant one I'm still pretty sure is Delaware. I've not even seen the Cornish in the nests at all yet. Boo! Need them laying before I can hatch eggs.
