9/17 today. Had 1 that was super thin shelled and had a crack. So we cooked it up for the girls. Yesterday our FBCM was bedded down in the coop and we thought she was going to lay. Came out singing the egg song... no egg!!!! Maybe she’s practicing? Nothing from her today. Waiting on those free loaders still.

I have some that do that. It is like they are singing "I was in the nest" or "One of the other girls laid an egg".

4.5 / 4 today - yep that is another double yoker! Interestingly after 2 - 3 weeks of laying I'm noticing a definite increase in size of the eggs and they are starting to look more distinct between the 3 girls as well!

The bottom one looks kind of like what my Barnevelder Trill lays, more round than long. Looks like you should have no trouble telling who lays each day.

I wish I'd taken pics from last week when they all looked very similar and smaller - I might try to work out 3 from the egg basket although we had scrambled eggs for tea so I think there may be none left to compare but yes I agree with you I think it should be possible now (the big one looks very much the same as one of the others when she isnt' laying double yokers). I think the colours are changing and separating more than anything.
