How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

No, I have Icelandics. :)
Very cool! I have looked for them here and can't find them in France!

2.5/2 today - another double yoker but the other one is one of the strange deflated water balloon ones with one end actually cratered and cracked so I think I'll feed that back to them! No idea what is going on - I'm now thinking that it is the same hen possibly laying the unshiny coated ones and the waterballoon ones possibly as well as I thought the non-shiny ones were from the broody hen but she isn't laying so not her!

Try looking in Iceland Poulechick ;)

Sure does sound like someone's factory is not functioning properly. As I've said, my girls have given me the odd egg now and then but it always corrected itself. That said, Yue will be 6 in 2 weeks. Last year she was laying really thin shelled eggs that were often broken or at least cracked in the nest (weight of her or other girls I assume) all year. She must have retooled over the winter because she is now again laying shells of normal thickness though the egg size has gone down into the lower 50s gram range. She was so constant at 58-60g for most of her laying life prior to this year. I hope your girl can straighten out her production.

I spent so long looking for isbars the other day - really don't think anyone has them here so if I want them I'm going to have to sweet talk my good friend in Sweden to send me some!

The funny thing is she can lay perfect gorgeous eggs so it isn't that she is always laying wrong and I can't be 100% sure anyway that it is her doing both the dodgy varieties of eggs. She has only been laying about 7 weeks so hoping she'll get sorted! Mostly they are usable anyway so not a huge deal.

I LOVE my Icelandics. Did they never import them to France?

I dont' know - I've tried looking for them using the english and various french words but haven't had any luck yet. Same with the Isbars. I did find another word for the Icelandics but I forgot to serach with it (maybe they use that name here) and I've lost it so will have to have another look!
so do my silky but did get them for their eggs really but to have broody
That was my plan too - didn't expect my young light Sussex pullet to catch broodyness as well though!
