I have a loyal egg customer that pickles the silky eggs but the birds and him

I dont' know - I've tried looking for them using the english and various french words but haven't had any luck yet.

Is there a European or French version of the American Poultry Association?? If so I would think (ASSUMING Icelandics are a recognized breed by them) they name they use would be what you would want to Google.

That's a good idea. I never thought of looking at their site - there are lots of local poultry associations so guessing there is a national one - will have a look. French websites aren't always what we in the Anglo saxon world are used to though!

24 Eggs Today, 2nd broody still no hatch eggs I wonder if they all died when the broody got lost and sat on wrong nest while am at work.

well heck all kinds of things going on the kid has a Hillman British in origin called a Husky or a Minx we are trying to learn more on ... ended at 10 from the main coop 1 from silky land

Ooh I love a fluffy chick! I’m going to my local feed store Friday. If they have any breeds I want, I’ll be picking some up. I found a local person who raises started pullets but haven’t heard back from her so maybe I’ll jist get chicks.

14/16 today. Missing my bantam EE and my white leghorn. The WL takes off one day a week. I don’t blame her!

Oh no are they due today? Maybe just delayed from the cooling down? How long do you think she was off? Is it cold where you live?

I'm hoping for 7 broken eggs today as Doris the Slightly Dim Silkie is due . I'm also going to collect 12 eggs to go under my Light Sussex Mabel (a mix of blue and black Copper Marans, Cream Legbars and Vorwerks) - I have to wait until late afternoon though as he has promised all the cream legbars until today and they don't finish laying until late!

Things not going great here - we went to look under Doris and there was a rotten egg so I've got rid of that so we are now down to 6 (out of an original 9). On the up side when we went back just now there is 1 egg with a little hole in it and I can see black feathers (Australorp maybe) but feeling useless / no idea how long it should take and nervous the others that aren't doing anything are dead (we are end of day 21 now). Although this morning (late) there was no holes so obviously not too long happening. Just feel useless and new to it all. I want to DO something!
