Silly Poule, you live in FRANCE! Of course all the desert choices sounded yum.
oh yeah silly me
wow that is pretty impressive to have as many as you want includedHad dinner in a restaurant in Paris MANY years ago. Desert included in the price of dinner. When the waiter brought the desert cart by .... oh my they all looked good. I chose something. He asked "what else?" Two? well OK, I chose a second one. He asked "what else?"OK, I'm feeling a bit gluttonous but chose the pear tart. He asked "what else?"

Hubby started off saying he was too full for dessert so I said great I'll have the cheese platter (they just bring you a plate and a huge platter of cheese and you choose what you want - I had that instead of dessert last time) and the cake if you are too full. Sadly when they told us todays freshly made options he cracked- and finished off my cake too
I do love French set menus - especially at lunch they are such good value - they tend to be kind of limited in price by what employees get for thier 'cheque restaurant' provided by quite a lot of employers here on top of thier wages. So you may have a 4 ish course meal, with wine for under €15 where the same food would cost considerably more at dinner!
