Not so much creative as forced to use what molds I have. But I do think it’s cute! I wouldn’t have thought to use the chocolate molds if I had ice cube trays. It’s just taking forever cause I only have a few molds and a whole lot of juice and of course it takes all day to freeze.
10 eggs today laid - but 2 leghorn eggs were broken in 2 of the nest boxes. I took the opportunity to clean all 4 out. The 2 leghorn eggs that survived have nice shells. Supports my thought it’s more of a hen issue than a feed/raw calcium issue. And of course the other hens all have great shells.
I may actually sell eggs for the first time ever this weekend to a neighbor! I’m pricing them on the low side cause 1) she’s a neighbor and we barter as well and 2) she works and could be a source of future sales.
Both my lime and lemon trees have WICKED thorns. Long and sharp as hell. Maybe it’s just the varieties I have. I didn’t know they had thorns when I bought them. But they are very tasty. I looked at a fruit picker gadget - $45! Too pricy for my usage level. I’ll have to figure out a way to get the fruit cause I want to juice some of the lemons next. A lot of the fruit is in the interior of the tree. Hence the suckiness of those killer thorns.
