Girls are getting a late start on laying today. I’m feeding them the fermented feed much later in the morning - wonder if there’s a connection. Shouldn’t be as they have plenty of food available 24/7. But curious.

The drain pipe in the AC dry rotted off yesterday. I saw a small stream of water coming from the unit, down the garage floor and out the door. Hubby got home late last night so he’s trying to replace the pipe now so we don’t have to call the AC guy AGAIN. Grr.

It’s supposed to be fall but it’s been hot as hell the past several days. Upper 80s and low 90s. Ugh.

I got my first egg today, I am so excited pic below. the one on bottom is the one layed today, the one on top is from a store. It's off white or tinted could it be from my Wyandotte?

I wouldn't know, my 2 Columbian Wyandottes haven't yet started laying. But there are red combs, wattles and big fluffy butts ... come on girls get with the program!

That is a really big first egg, congrats.

I have one blue from my main coop then just 2 from silky but one will probably lay in their tractor

7 today. A second Welsummer egg was lain later in the day.
Only one pullet with the food dye laid today, or I didn't apply enough. The amount of dye is miniscule but it's black, so, OEGB.
Didn't get a pink egg with purple spots today.

My 5 year old olive egger is laying my monster that poor girl is 5 now and she is small so 3 the main and 2 from silky

I got another egg from my white leghorn Saturday, that's 2 in a row now.
The one on the right was Saturday's egg just slightly bigger then Friday's.

10 today. Did sell eggs for the first time. And made frittata so several dozens out of the fridge. It’s nice to have that space back!
