That is heartbreaking! I've managed to break a egg on rare occasion but 16 all at once

I hope you and the dog didn't suffer any damage.

My dog would have promptly started "cleaning up" all of those broken eggs for me!

Now that would have hurt many of our pride have broken like 5 once dropping them

7 today, including 2 that were behind a box under the ladder in the feed room. I found them only because Gretel came out from behind it when I was giving the girls their scratch this afternoon. Nice of her to go back there since neither of the eggs was hers I'd have never found them otherwise. One was Cassie's and she usually lays in the closed box but I know other girls were in there today. I moved the box and stood a piece of 4x4 that was sitting around in the corner where the nest was.

Not sure why she chose the feed room unless Ana had already laid there. And of course I don't even know that they were laid today though they weren't cracked so I assume so, it was 12°F overnight. Plenty cold enough to freeze an egg.
