About to take dogs out close the pop door this is how we stand now
bit of rain came down so muddy again this is so far 1 silkie egg also

I got.....none....although I think my buff brahma aptly named Walnut has one in the box. We recently switched up the hen box....2 of my girls who are currently laying...in response immediately went into mount....... and my other two sometimes lay....sometimes don’t. Walnut is persnickety about laying. The clouds in the sky must be the right height, and the sun must be in the optimal position....and since I live in good ol Az, that means there’s hardly very many days with clouds in the sky and it seems as if the sun is always hanging in the highest part of the sky. Anywho...I’ll be checking in the morning. Heaven forbid I try and sneak a look at night....

5 eggs for Sunday the 29th, including a photo of the eggs collected this past week. The pullets aren’t doing too bad this mild start to winter.

Some are muddy, it’s been above freezing and raining a lot and we were gone a few days after for Christmas so they were stuck inside with the eggs.
Oh also got this cool multi-coloured egg, it’s a band of darker colour with the choppy edging you see.

Calcium the hen gave a bit more than needed not to worry some do others don't
so got 7 main coop 2 in silkie all said and done

She’s had a few now it’s always fun to see them pop up, usually more ombré like. Good to know I have adequate calcium available for them though!

First egg! My chickens are 20.5 weeks I have 2 RIR 2 Amerucanas 2 GLW . One of the RIR has been singing the egg song for a couple of days now so im thinking its hers.
