One of my FBCM just did the same thing today. It’s the center one of the three dark brown eggs one the right side of the pic. The cool thing is when the egg is wet it is dark brown with speckles like a Welsummer egg. When it dries the purple hue returns and the speckles mostly disappear.

That one is from my older EE. Some days she thinks she’s an Ameraucana. She tries to lay closer to blue than green. She’s going to be disappointed in a few months when the 6 Ameraucana chicks being shipped to me on the 12th start laying.

The bluish one? Hera lays that color, she and Rhea are June 2019 chicks. Rhea's are a brighter green than my older 3 EE lays, very helpful of her.
