How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

20 eggs this morning. This includes those that were laid last night/yesterday.
Wow! Went to lock up the chickens for the night. Thought I might find another egg or 2 since I got so many this morning. Nope, I found 15 more eggs!! That brings my total to 35 but that covers yesterday and today.
Still, I'll take it!

3 duck eggs & 21 chicken eggs today! Plus I have 5 hens/pullets sitting on nests too!

13 today but I have another FBCM on the nest at dusk. I hope she is going broody because I now have fertilized EE roo x white Leghorn hen eggs to give her. Those are the only crosses I’d like to hatch.

My very first Dozen Egg Day! I broke 1 and had to eat it, and most of them were STILL not in the nest boxes, but so what? Dozen Egg Day!!

It is is bit of hunt here in my little coop like that, I only have one nest box in mine so far we are enlarging that one I have 5 ameracauna to go in there

We have 7 nesting boxes. A double nest box, a milk crate, a 5-gal bucket, a tote divided in half, and the top level of the tote with a board in front of it for privacy.... they all get used throughout the day, I have a couple broodies that monopolize a couple of them, but I try to put my broodies into separate pens for hatching.

My girls’ new favorite place to lay eggs is the cat taxi. I will put curtains on the nest boxes, and if that STILL doesn’t work I will accept defeat and put in another cat taxi and a beach rake for under-box egg grabbing.
