How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Only 9 eggs. My 2nd hen that is trying to go broody was sitting on an empty egg shell.

Cashew was in and out of the nest box all day but finally just laid her second egg about 10 minutes ago (4pm ish)

I think your number isn't going to change until August. And the cockerel isn't going to lay any so don't expect more than 4 a day max


Wait, they can get in the scratch container and didn't eat all the scratch? I guarantee if my girls could get in, there would be nothing left.

How do you get them to lay so many for you?! What breeds do you have?

My best layers are my red and black sex links, Leghorns, and barred Rocks, they lay every day. But I have a bunch of different breeds that lay good. I have some EE and Whitings who lay almost every day.
