It's odd... I've had chickens for decades and integrating newbies has never gone this smoothly before. Not so much as a peck?? One of the chicks has even been sleeping on the highest roost right next to the dominant rooster

I have mine up on a "no bottom" table 3' high made from scrap 2x4s. Plenty of airflow that way. Of course the ambient temps have a lot to do with how fast they break. Faster when it is cold, longer when it is hot. You'll know when she has broken when she starts talking to you in her normal voice, not the broody cluck cluck and she doesn't puff up.Ok.
