No pullet eggs. I got one normal egg, and one shelless from Ginger. That’s the first time she’s had one of those, I weirded out the rest of my family by making them touch it haha.

No eggs today. But I think at least one of the 3 three will lay their first egg very soon!

I think I got either 9 or 11. Each coop has a hen trying to go broody. In the bigger coop I am letting her sit on eggs since there is a rooster in that flock.
In the smaller coop there is no rooster, so I keep taking the eggs out from under her! I don't think she has even laid any eggs yet herself so I'm not sure what kind of broody she would be anyway. I did hear an attempt at crowing from that yard today so I believe one of the chickens that hatched this year is a male, but it could have been either of the male meat chickens that I haven't butchered yet.
I did notice tonight at lock up that one of the meat chicken females was sitting on the top roost with some of the other hens. 2 others were on the lower roost and the other 4 were on the ground. It is kind of impressive because there is no walk up to the roosts. They have to fly up to them. Not bad for meat birds that are butchering out to a dressed weight of 6+ pounds!
