1-my girls are on the egg retention plan until further notice and or molt/winter ends, whichever comes first.

1 tiny cochin bantam egg again. That almost makes a week straight for her. And my gold laced cochin bantam spent some time in one of the nest boxes today. So hopefully I will be getting 2 bantam eggs soon. Of course it will be even more egg-citing when the big girls start laying.

Is the roo in your photo a cochin? I have a brahma x cochin roo and he looks just like yours! The only obvious difference being mine has a pea comb

Yes, Peter Pan is a silver laced (I believe that is the name of his coloring) cochin bantam. He was my first to crow and is a sweet boy.

To be fair though, many are molting right now!
