How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

5 eggs today.
I lost one of my layers today when one of our puppies managed to squeeze under/between the fence and the gate.
She hurt 2 of the chickens, 1 of which died in my arms.
Now we are trying to figure out the best way to reinforce the gate/fence area so that she can't get back in there again.

So sorry for the loss of your hen.

mine are plenty old enough but they havent started yet. one is laying but I dont know which one and it seems they stopped using the nest they started.

How old are yours and what breed? Mine are 13 weeks old and their RIR

For me about a dozen surplus or so when I have 2 hens laying. My neighbor will buy eggs when I have them. I tell her I don't want money but she slips me a ten every so often, averageing out about $6 a dozen. What the heck, it pays for their feed.

Awe, sweet neighbor! We sell enough eggs to pay for our feed bill as well. As long as we can do that I am happy!

Finally have my first egg today! Got it from my 20 week old "Ameraucana"! Still waiting on the first from my three 25-week old free-loading leghorns.

Like 8 or 9 months.
They're barnyard mixes. American game + orpington. But I think heavier on the game. So not a layer breed really.

We actually have latches on plywood gates the only way to keep ours out ..
I ave 7 from the main coop 2 from banty coop

We had a carabiner and a clip ring ( like on a key chain that you can clip to your pants). I have no idea where the carabiner went or how she got that one off! Then she managed to slip under the other one.
