LOL!!! I didn’t think my redneck dial could go any higher but I stand corrected! That truly is a great idea and I didn’t know that supplementing meat would keep egg production rolling so well. Maybe I should kill a few of those squirrels that are always trying to steal chicken feed. You know, since I’ve got my hand on the redneck dial anyways. I always let the coyotes have at my deer carcasses. Great info!15 out of 18 laying. Our flock has held really strong so far during the short days. Our chickens really do well when we supplement meat a few times a week. I learned from an old friend that chickens will pick a deer carcass clean afyer you get what you want. Thats true and it shows in their laying. They were slowing after the bugs died off until my son got a deer. We butchered it and let the chickens have the spine and ribcage to pick. They all kicked back into gear. Then my father in law gave us a bunch of freezer burnt ground deer he had. If you don’t have easy access to cheap or free meat to supplement you can always turn your RedNeck Dial up a little bit and get fresh road killed deer. Here in Oklahoma you just need to call your local game warden and clear it with them.
