7 out of 10. I got a solid one out of my RIR for once, and one of my buff orpingtons laid her first egg! It’s the pink one on the top right. View attachment 2493300

Nope, my RIRs just give me weird big eggs. The really big one light colored one is consistent with what that hen lays every day. It’s one normal sized yolk and a lot of whites. Sometimes they’re bigger than that. The other big one that’s long and skinny is from the RIR that keeps laying soft shells, and that’s how her eggs normally are when they have a solid shell.

7 full grown hens and 1 egg a day because it’s cold
