A hawk can't carry off a full grown large fowl hen, they would rip it up in place. A fox will carry off a hen with patches of feathers here and there, at least some at the point of attack. Last time I lost one to a fox (not quite 2 years ago) I followed the "trail" of white feathers through the field to the woods.
The other COULD still be around, they can cram themselves into very small spaces when they are scared. Might not be able to back out, look everywhere. I hope you find her.
